Welcome to the Math In the News Web Page. The purpose of this site is to provide a variety of test questions that promote critical thinking and multi-step problem solving for mathematics students. Most questions are taken from current events in magazines and newspaper articles, and are designed to be relevant and applicable to real life situations.Some questions require calculator or computer use. Some are multilevel and can be used for cumulative review or classes where students from several levels of math collaborate.As far as possible, the data is accurate. Questions may be used for practice assignments, collaborative group problem solving or testing.
